I did this one alone, it had a lot of details and was well made. Altogether it took 5 and a half hours. But definitely worth it. In the end, it was between two people. But I figured out the guilty one in the end. I have two more cases, so I’m looking forward to starting on them. 😊
This year's Boxing Day activity for the family. The youngest is 12 years old, and the oldest is over 60, everyone was equally engaged 😃 The downside is the price, as it is a bit expensive since it's a one-time game, but recommended for those who can afford it 👍🏻
My kids (young adults!!) were totally immersed in the game; we were all in. It took us 2 hours, but in the meantime, we were also eating and drinking. Totally recommended for a family or friends gathering. I am now recommending this to a few friends, and I am sure I will buy another one in the future.

We took our time and really delved into the case, spreading around 5 hours over three evenings. Not opening the envelopes was an exercise in delayed gratification. We really loved the plot - especially my murder-mystery loving wife, who enjoyed every moment of it! 10/10, will definitely order more. Highly recommended to anyone who enjoyed a good whodunnit story or simply wants a few evenings of intellectual entertainment with the family.
About us
Detective for a Day was founded in August 2021 because of our love of crime and true-crime. We've always wanted to investigate and solve a real crime case instead of watching others do it on TV, so we ended up developing a product that we've become extremely proud of.
Covid-19 forced us to to stay indoors a lot, and we wanted to create something new and exciting that partners, friends and families could do together at home.
After half a year of hard work, the first cases 'Murder at the Student Graduation' and 'Murder on the Luxury Yacht' were finished.
The most important thing for us was that the cases should be as realistic as possible, as well as engage and entertain our customers for hours. The cases we make are carefully constructed and planned down to the smallest detail with exciting characters and stories.
We hope you get as much pleasure from solving the cases as we did from making them. We release new cases a few times a year!
